UVU HARPSICHORD WEEK UPDATE:

BYU had the opportunity to work side by side with UVU in their wonderful "Harpsichord Week". A participant from BYU, Katherine Lyman, commented on her experience: "I had a lesson with Dr. Lai for 30 minutes and she gave me basic tips on how the harpsichord felt different from the piano. Once I saw her play, it was easy to see how the feeling of the harpsichord was different than the piano. The upward motion and look has a lot to do with the right sound. I also had an opportunity to perform on UVU's new harpsichord. It was a nice, informal opportunity to be exposed to harpsichord technique and performance."
