Heather Faerber

Heather (age 22) began playing the piano at the age of 5. From the time she was a little girl, her family and friends tremendously influenced her musical development. Some of her earliest memories include, playing solo pieces from Disney’s The Lion King with her brother Cameron and playing four hand duets from Beauty and the Beast with her best friend Shannon. She has participated in several choirs and served as an accompanist [Lake Superior Youth Chorus, Duluth East Choirs (Birchwood, A’Cappella, and Choralaires), University Chorale directed by Dr. Broomhead at Brigham Young University, and will soon accompany Concert Choir directed by Rosalind Hall at Brigham Young University]. In 2004, Heather performed with Duluth-Superior Symphony Orchestra as a featured soloist performing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 in C-minor. She has also performed with her father, Dr. Matthew Faerber, in competitions and recitals. Currently, she is studying with Dr. Jeff Shumway at BYU and is considering a Masters degree in choral conducting. During her study of music, she discovered that music brings people together. She loves to laugh, dance, make jokes, listen to, and play inspiring music. She hopes to reach out to others through music for the rest of her life.
